[Mulgara-general] Fastest way to upload triples into mulgara?

I am trying to load a large amount of triples into a mulgara server. After
trying the jrdf API (remote) I settled on using itql in the web ui by doing
a model load, i.e.:
load <file:/home/cozzi/localfile.nt> into <rmi://localhost/server1#bp>;
where localfile.nt is a n-triples file on my local machine. This works
reasonably well, but I was wondering whether there is a faster way.
