[Mulgara-dev] Mulgara and Jena

Greetings.

I'm looking at Mulgara as a queryiable triple store, to manage of the
order of 500-1000k triples.

A SPARQL endpoint would be ideal for me, but I thought I'd play with
the Jena+Mulgara integration of [1], to see what I could do. I have
a couple of questions which I couldn't resolve from the documentation
or wiki, which I hope someone here might be able to help with.

That page describes integrating Mulgara and Jena. Does this mean
that I would be able to use Mulgara as a backing store for Jena's
query support? This _sounds_ like a way of getting a SPARQL endpoint
in front of a Mulgara store -- what am I misunderstanding?

In the archive of the mulgara-dev list, there's a remark[2] that "Jena
+Mulgara is *not* recommended", and doesn't seem to chime with the
fairly prominent discussion of Jena integration. That's a little
disappointing: can anyone expand on this?

More a suggestion than a question: the page [1] could probably
benefit from a pointer to the Mulgara javadocs. Since the examples
there don't include full package names, it's not always clear whether
the various classes are Jena or Mulgara ones.

Thanks for any pointers.

Norman
